You Gonna Let This Wreck You?

  • Hey Fit Body's,

    Can you hear the screaming (at the tv) and smell the food?

    Super Bowl is this weekend and I've got a couple of super tasty
    food items that won't wreck your waistline.

    Grab a fork and let's eat:

    Chilled Garlic Dip: a little lite cream cheese, garlic, and milk, served with veggies or reduced-fat Ruffles gives you 58 calories!
    BBQ Hot Wings: fuggedabout the butter here (bbq sauce) grill up those bad boys for a 170 calorie per wing snack.
    6 Layer Mexican Dip: go for the lean ground beef and fat-free refried beans and you've got MEXICAN FOOD with 6 grams of fiber.
    Artichoke and Spinach Dip: if you don't drown it in sour cream you can play armchair quarterback for 87 calories (don't forget the whole wheat pita chips)
    Hummus with Whole Wheat Pitas and Veggies: 50 calories and fiber...What's not to love?
    Cream Cheese Roll Ups: Put some lite cream cheese, whole wheat tortillas, salsa, turkey, and romaine in your shopping cart for 144 calories and some fiber.
    Keep in mind some common sense things too:

    Be mindful of your portion sizes. Eat off of saucers to help keep your portions down.
    Have a glass of water before you eat to help you feel full.
    Get up and walk around during the commercials so you're not just sitting there stewing in calories.
