Mt Lowe Mountain biking in SNOW / Mount Wilson Frontside MTB / SCOA DH Shuttle, March 1, 2015

Make sure to change settings to 1080P HD. A recent storm came by overnight and brought the snow level down to about 4,500 ft. There was some snow on the top section. I took the 8am shuttle with Rick, he rode his KHS Lucky 7 and I rode my Intense Carbine Twenty6er. It was our first time riding on snow, it was cool but a little sketchy on the icy rocks. I actually fell over the cliff on the top section (right before the chutes) luckily I fell on the first tier which was only about 7-8 feet. I fucked up my fingers trying to brace my fall but nothing major. The fall must have turned my GoPro off because I lost the footage of that whole segment. There was only some snow on Echo Mtn Chutes, from Sam Merrill down, we couldn’t ask for better conditions, the trials were nice and sticky. I should have been able to PR most segments but the crash fucked me up mentally and I was riding pretty timid. I wasn't able bend the middle and ring finger of my right hand either. Rick brought his big bike and didn't want to hike up El P, so he took Cheney Trail down and I went to El P solo. Trails ridden; Echo Mountain Chutes 0.9 mi, -17.5% Just the Steeps (Chutes) 0.3 mi, -29.6% Middle Sam Merrill DH trail 2.4 mi, -9.3% Sunset (Tree to Sierra Saddle) 0.8 mi, -10% Sunset (Table to Final Switchback) 1.0 mi, -13.7% Single Track to Millard Camp 0.7 mi, -7.7% El Prieto DH Trail 1.6 mi, -8.4%
